"fossil cookies" made with plastic bug toys. If you have a budding paleontologist in your house, bake him or her a batch of fossil cookies (recipe on Martha Stewart’s website) for a special treat. I love how the simple act of pressing a plastic insect toy into the top of a sugar cookie transforms it into something so much more interesting. These would be a hit at a bug-loving kid’s birthday party.

    Make your own Dinosaur Fossils!

My son would LOVE this!! To make your own dinosaur fossils, you’ll need: toy dinosaurs; a small cup of instant coffee; 3/4 cup cold water, 1 cup flour, 6 tbsps of salt; a baking tray; and baking paper.   Mix the instant coffee, flour, salt and water together to make a dough. (The coffee smells so good!)   The dough needs to be wet, but not so wet that it sticks to your fingers.
