The simple elegance of this room has sparked interest in a future bedroom design I have planned. Simple small statement pieces and splashes of color make this room even more elegant while keeping with clean, sophisticated lines.

Exposed brick, clean lines canopy bed, contrasting white bedding and feminine chandelier ...lovely

I always come back to this frame when I'm browsing around... but I'm not sure if we'd get sick of this frame eventually either... so pretty, though!

Gypsey is building a canopy bed. This is one of the styles that I like.

Fabric Canopy This extravagant fabric canopy in Clare Pernice's master bedroom was made with about 18 yards of fabric and was not much trickier than a set of custom drapes. Yet the visual impact of the sweeping layers of creamy cotton is grand, to say the least.

The finishes on the painted bedside tables and rough-hewn bench are in perfect juxtaposition with the more refined textures of the iron bed and crisp linens. Soft, sophisticated color was added to the room by mixing in plush throw pillows, a soft coverlet and a Madeline Weinrib rug. All furnishings, Bungalow Classic. For a modern take a on the traditional canopy bed, try bed curtains. Instead of being mounted on a canopy bed, these curtains look great hung from the ceiling. You can use a combination of standard curtain rods mounted on the ceiling to create this look.
