    Tailgate Farmers Market in Bryson City, NC: You'll find locally grown produce as it comes into season, as well as and other edibles, plants, flowers, crafts and more. The market is open every Friday from May through October. Located on Main Street in the parking lot behind the Old Courthouse, and across the street from the Chamber of Commerce.

    Bryson City NC gourd artist Joan Glover plants the seeds of her creations in a greenhouse in early Spring. Once the gourds are mature, harvested and dried, she transforms them into useful household works of art.

    In his spare time, Jeff Delfield, head librarian at Bryson City, NC Marianna Black Library, builds musical instruments using materials not normally associated with "fine" instrument making — cigar boxes, cookie tins, wooden bowls, flea market finds and antique shop discoveries.

    SCC's Swain Center focuses on heritage arts including a Master Potter certificate program, as well as outdoor leadership and business and industry training and consulting.
