So my kids LOVE those Nutrigrain cereal bars with the chewy jelly-type filling (oatmeal type crust) - though I buy the Great Value brand at Walmart. I've been searching for a recipe to try making them ourselves (no artificial junk) Gonna try this!
Chex Mix My Way. "I use Crispex cereal because it both rice and corn Chex so I only have to buy one box to make the mix. I also have increased the 'sauce' by about 50% compared to the original Chex Mix recipe for a little added zip. We have come to prefer double seasoning. Those amounts are in the parenthesis." Another food to avoid at night if you're watching your weight is cereal. Cereal is so hard to just eat one serving of, which is only 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup with most brands. At night, it is so comforting to eat, but in my experience, one bowl turns into two, then three, then before you know it, you might as well finish the box! Avoid cereal at night and if you really must buy it, just eat it in the morning, and only eat one bowl.
