      CHICKEN CORDON BLEU CASSEROLE Originally from Taste of Home Magazine, this recipe needed some changing to my personal taste. I have added and subtracted but it is still the same basic dish--mmm, good! Photo: tasteofhome.com Ingredients 3 c uncooked macaroni or pasta of your choice 2 c heavy cream 8 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed 2 c shredded swiss cheese, divided 2 tsp butter get recipes @ goboldwithbutter.com 1/4 c onion, chopped 2 clove garlic, minced 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 2 c cooked chicken breast, cubed 3/4 c cooked bacon, crumbled 3/4 c cooked ham, cubed 3 Tbsp panko bread crumbs Directions Cook macaroni according to package directions to al dente; drain. In a large saucepan, melt 2 tsp. butter over medium heat; add onion and garlic. Saute and stir for 2-3 minutes. Add the cream and the cream cheese, stirring until smooth. Add salt, pepper and 1 cup swiss cheese. Stir until blended. In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, bacon, ham and pasta. Add the sauce and toss to coat. Pour mixture into a greased 9x13" baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bread crumbs. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350-degree oven for about 20 minutes or until heated through and bubbly. Serve with a green salad and crusty bread.

      Firehouse Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta - hubby thought this was just ok. I loved it, but I love cordon blue. Need to add ~3 tbsp dijon to the sauce or else its way too bland. I freeze 1/2 for later, it makes a lot. I have also made this with rice instead of pasta & it was good.

    chicken cordon bleu. I tried this tonight. Yum! I did it poor man style though with cheap lunch meat ham and Panko bread crumbs and made mini ones so I got twelve small ones instead of six large. Froze a bunch so I can just pop in the oven for dinner when I am lazy.
