Although these heartwarming treats are a daily indulgence in most Swedish homes, there is one special day each year that the pastry is highlighted just a bit more than other days: October 4th is “Kanebullens Dag” (Cinnamon Roll Day)!
Just made this Cinnamon-Apple Twist Bread, but of course I added 1/2 c. toasted pecans to the filling. It's a great bread, but the glaze just tastes like sugar. I think I'd swap it out for a thinned cream cheese frosting.
Lambert's Throwed Rolls-- I have been using this recipe for 15 years now, and it is always a hit. I highly recommend it! I always make more than we need for Thanksgiving or Christmas because they are so good with leftover ham and turkey. --NW
