There are actually 4 types of bullying: verbal, cyber, physical, and psychological

I love how it adds gossiping and exclusion and ignoring as types of bullying. Most people think of name calling and physical abuse when they think of bullying, but it's not the only type.

It is always good to know where the line is and take care to correct children who may do these things unknowingly.

Mental bullying also includes a ringleader telling others to not be friends, talk to or hang around an individual.

The term "bullying" seems to be thrown around a lot, when it might be an isolated event. This is interesting and may be worth discussion. Lesson about identifying bullying behaviors vs. mean, teasing, or conflict behaviors.

I think these are great tips to teach kids who are bullied how to handle the situation. It teaches them to be the more respectful, mature, and confident. If you show the bully that you won't let them hurt or bother you, because you know who you are and that their words are lies, then they lose their power and it makes them look bad. One thing I disagree with this is that you should not say "whatever" or "maybe", it comes of passive aggressive. Rather stand up tall, look them in the eye and…

Here are some good suggestions for mentees who are being bullied. This will provide your mentee with some good strategies for the next time their bully approaches them.
