Tired of the same old rote prayers? Me too. I created these prayer cards to encourage my children to think outside the box of their normal prayers and to help them develop a greater depth in their prayer life. I pray they will bless your family, too!
John 3:14 Craft( Moses lifts up the Serpent). Using a marker, draw out the pattern of the snake on the paper plate. If working w/ preschoolers, go ahead & write the verse out. Color the snake, cut it out, stick on wiggly eyes & stick a folded pipe cleaner through for the tongue.
5 finger prayer for kids: thumb - prayer for those close to you (friends and family), pointer - prayer for those you point you in the right direction (teachers, pastors, etc.), tallest finger - prayer for those in authority (government, leaders); ring finger - this is the weakest finger and reminds us to pray for the weak and needy; pinky - finally, pray for yourself.
I love this idea to help children understand that every person you have put in the bucket is special to you and that you can find something to pray for about them. Plus it helps us remember to pray meanigful, specific prayers. Even adults need that reminder sometimes!
