Hot Caprese Dip Recipe Appetizers with fresh mozzarella, roma tomatoes, basil
Hot Mozzarella Caprese dip RECIPE: Hot Caprese Dip serves 2-4 10 ounces fresh mozzarella, chopped into cubes 2 roma tomatoes, seeded and juiced 3 tablespoons freshly chopped basil (or about 1 tablespoon dried) + more for garnish Preheat oven to 375. Make sure tomatoes have as much juiced squeezed out of them as possible – this will prevent the dip from becoming soupy. In a small baking dish, combine chopped cheese, tomatoes and basil and mix. Bake for 15 minutes, then broil for 2 minutes so cheese becomes bubbly and golden. Serve immediately with crackers or melba toasts. Note: dip may appear “watery” which is why it is VERY important to get as much moisture out of the tomatoes as possible. Also make sure dip is consumed immediately, as the longer it sits, the more juice that develops. Don’t worry if there is a little bit of juice – it is still delicious!

This hint is worth two pins. I tried it and it works! How to Keep Strawberries Fresh… and Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, and more. To keep the strawberries fresh longer in the refrigerator, use 1 Part White Vinegar to 10 Parts Water. Soak the strawberries, leaves and all in the vinegar/water mixture for a few minutes. Then drain the strawberries in a colander until they are completely dry.
Kitchen Tip: How to Keep Strawberries Fresh… To keep the strawberries fresh longer in the refrigerator, use 1 Part White Vinegar to 10 Parts Water. Soak the strawberries, leaves and all in the vinegar/water mixture for a few minutes. Then drain the strawberries in a colander until they are completely dry. Then I place my strawberries in an uncovered bowl in the refrigerator. The vinegar/water mixture kills any mold spores on the strawberries and keeps them fresh longer. The vinegar does not affect the taste. This also works for all kinds of berries: blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc.
sweet thai iced tea...oh my deliciousness.
Teas Recipe, Thai Teas, Conden Milk, Thai Ice, Thai Coconut, Iced Tea, Sweet Thai, Ice Teas, Coconut Ice
Thai Iced Tea Recipe! 8 cups Water 1 cup Loose Thai Tea 1 teaspoon Vanilla ¾ cups Sweetened, Condensed Milk Preparation Instructions: Note: If sweetened condensed milk is too sweet for you, you can use evaporated milk or cream instead and just sweeten the tea before adding the milk. If you are lactose intolerant, you can sweeten the tea with sugar and add soy milk instead. Just be sure to add the sugar after the tea has steeped. Agave nectar works just fine, too. In a medium-sized pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the loose tea and vanilla and remove from heat. Be sure to stir so that all leaves have been submerged in the water. Allow to steep for about ten minutes. Strain the tea in a pitcher using a mesh strainer and place in the fridge to cool. (If adding sugar, do so at this time and stir till sugar has dissolved. See note below.) When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice to the top. Pour in the tea until the cup is 3/4 full of liquid. Add a few tablespoons of the sweetened condensed milk. Leave a straw or a spoon so that each person can mix it on their own. Enjoy! Note: If you are not using sweetened condensed milk, then I recommend you use about 1/2 cup of sugar, adding more to taste.

Mozzarella Balls and Tomato-Basil Sauce Fried Mozzarella Balls with Quick Tomato Sauce Recipe. Recipe Instruction Preparation Time (min): 20 Minutes Cooking Time (min): 20 Minutes Recipe Yield: 4 Servings Cooking Technique: . Ingredients: For the cheese balls: 1 8 oz container of mozzarella balls, such as bocconcini 2 large eggs 1/4 cup of milk 1 cup of plain flour 2 cups of breadcrumbs or panko 1 tablespoon of dried oregano salt and pepper canola oil for frying For the quick tomato sauce: 1 tablespoon of olive oil 1/2 onion, chopped 1 garlic clove, chopped 1 14 oz can of diced or whole tomatoes 1 teaspoon of dried basil or oregano or a combination of both Method of Preparation: Drain the cheese and dry on paper towels. Carefully lower cheese balls, a few of a time and cook until they are golden, about a minute or so. Remove and drain in paper towels. Repeat with the remaining cheese making sure oil comes up to temperature before adding more cheese. You may keep it warm in a 200 degrees oven for a little while, or serve immediately with your favorite tomato sauce. Sauce: Heat the oil over medium-heat and add the onions. cook until translucent, about 6 minutes. Add the garlic, cook for a minute more and add the tomatoes. Fill half of the tomato can with water and add to the pot. Add spices and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, until sauce is thickened. OMG! pound cake + brie + fig grilled cheese.
Pound Cakes, Recipe, Eating, F Unemploy Special, Rosemary Butter, Figs Preserves, Grilled Cheeses, Brie, Figs Grilled
this site is amazing. full of different grilled cheese recipes and ideas. this one is pound cake + brie + fig grilled cheese.
hum? pound cake + brie + fig grilled cheese. Insanely decedent. Ingredients - 2 thin slices of pound cake - a few slices of brie - 1/2 tbs fig spread - 1 small rosemary sprig - chopped - 1 pat of butter It's so easy. Just place a few slices of brie onto one piece of pound cake. Smear some fig preserves on the other piece of bread. Melt a pat of butter in your skillet on medium and throw in the chopped rosemary. Keep heating the butter and rosemary for a few minutes until the leaves start to soften up and the rosemary flavor starts to infuse into the butter. You'll also want the little bubbles (that you see below) to dissolve before you put your sammie in. I think it makes for a better consistency when it's soaking into the bread. When it's all smooth and melted, put both pieces of pound cake in your skillet (still on medium) and let'em cook. After about three or four minutes you should start to see a nice crust developing on the bottom of the pound cake. To look - GENTLY use your spatula to peek underneath. If you think it's good to go, gently flip one piece onto the other. Don't worry if your brie hasn't started melting yet, when you do this step the heat from the other sandwich will instantly heat up your cheese and finish the melting process. Then take it off the skillet and eat immediately. Real fast. Inhale it.

Crispy Fried Goat Cheese (on top of a spinach salad with strawberries and balsamic dressing, please!)
Crispy Fried Goat Cheese Recipe - These are great as hors doeuvres on crackers or bread, but are also fantastic as a crouton on a mixed greens salad with vinagrette! Really easy to throw together on the fly. Basically, you take slices of goat cheese, dip them in beaten egg, then coat them in seasoned panko breadcrumbs, then fry in a little olive oil until crispy. Must try for Dave!

Thai Coconut Chicken Soup. Another pinner said: AMAZING recipe. made it last week for the man and he requested a double batch today. using the whole pkg of rice noodles makes it a noodle dish though...which is still good, but for a soup, use only 1/2 pkg.
Thai Soup Thai Coconut Curry Soup main dish canada (Oct.20.09) 61 Comments This Recipe is part of the One Pot Wonders Recipes from Michael Smith Menu The sweet, sour, spicy, salty and savoury flavours of Thailand are one of my favourite ways to fill a bowl. They’re seductively addictive, always well balanced and one of the world’s great cuisines. They’re also easy! This is a very simple dish to make. Ingredients Two 14 oz (398 mL) cans of premium coconut milk 1 heaping tablespoon (15 mL) of Thai curry paste Roots of 1 bunch of cilantro, rinsed well 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced 2 cups (500 mL) of chicken broth 1 carrot, shredded 4 or 5 lime leaves 2 stalks of lemon grass, halved lengthwise, woody leaves removed 2 tablespoons (30 mL) of fish sauce Zest and juice of 2 limes A small knob of frozen ginger A handful of bean sprouts One 8 oz (225 g) package of rice noodles Leaves of 1 bunch of cilantro, rinsed well 2 or 3 green onions, thinly sliced A sprinkle or two of salt or soy sauce Directions 1. Scoop the thick coconut cream from the top of just one of the cans into a large stockpot set over a medium-high heat. Melt the cream, add the curry paste and stir for a few minutes until they begin to sizzle. 2. Add the cilantro roots and chicken and sauté until the chicken is cooked through, about 5 minutes. 3. Add the coconut juice from the first can and all the contents of the second can along with the chicken broth, carrot, lime leaves, lemon grass, fish sauce and lime zest and juice. Grate the frozen ginger into the broth with a Microplane grater or standard box grater. Simmer for 20 minutes or so. 4. Stir in the bean sprouts. Add the rice noodles, gently pushing them beneath the surface of the broth. Turn off the heat and let stand until the noodles soften, about 5 minutes. Rice noodles don’t need to simmer like pasta to cook; they simply need to rehydrate in the hot liquid. 5. Stir in most of the cilantro leaves. Remove the lemon grass stalks. Taste and season with a touch more salt (or soy sauce) as needed. Ladle into large bowls and garnish with the green onions and remaining cilantro leaves. Serves 4 Freestyle Variations: Thai curry pastes get their heat from chili peppers, but they’re also loaded with other flavours. You may use as much or as little as you like. Yellow is the mildest; green the hottest. Try stirring in a head of chopped Asian greens or baby spinach with the bean sprouts. You may easily substitute beef or shrimp for the chicken.
