Cecil Beaton, The 1968 Sitting - Queen Elizabeth II, White Drawing RoomFor photographs in the White Drawing Room, the Queen wore a turquoise silk sleeveless shift dress with silver floral embroidery designed by Hardy Amies. Daylight streamed through the windows and Beaton was elated: 'The sun was now shining for the rest of the afternoon and I bade the many assistants bring in our background from the dark cavern and rely on God's glorious daylight. Everywhere were sparkling possibilities.'

Queen Elizabeth II looked incredibly lovely during this visit to the U.S. in 1976, decked out in femme #florals and dainty details, like a chain of pearls and structured handbag. Of course, she topped it all off with a charming hat #refinery29

Queen Elizabeth II & The Queen Mother

Her Royal Highness

Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother By Cecil Beaton

A Beautiful photo of The Queen.

Queen Elizabeth ~ I love to see the Queen smiling, happy, and laughing ~ she often looks so much more relaxed today!

We're talking all things Jubilee at the office today. Namely, how hot Queen Elizabeth II looks in this vintage photo.

"Queen Elizabeth II by Cecil Beaton" was the original caption, but this really doesn't look much like other photos of the young Queen.

Queen Elizabeth II and her mother, Queen Elizabeth(Queen Consort of the United Kingdom at the time) later known as Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother ....I bet Q2 was awesome at this age...

Queen Elizabeth II's mother was not queen Elizabeth. Queen Elizabeth I aka the virgin queen was born in the mid 1500s. Queen Elizabeth's mother was Elizabeth Angela Marguerite, her father was king George VI.

I didn't think I had to style her properly, I figured most people would know who I was talking about. And anyway, George VI and Elizabeth were crowned King and Queen of Great Britain, Ireland and the British Dominions, and Emperor and Empress of India on 12 May 1937

Her name without title was Elizabeth Bowes Lyon. She was known as the Queen mother when Elizabeth II ascended the throne.
