Make curtain rods out of towel bars! - When I was re-doing our living room, I realized that I didn't like curtain rods to go completely across the top of the window if there was no reason for it.Who actually close their curtains? Because we have blinds, we just use our curtains for decoration and sound absorption. I went with honey oak wooden hand towel holders at less than $5 ea. I painted them to my liking and they serve the purpose at a much less expensive cost than typical curtain rods.
