TORONTO - EXHIBITION - NIGHT - AERIAL - MIDWAY - SKYLINE BACKGROUND - C1970
Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) gateway. The CNE embodies Toronto in the summer down at the waterfront, with rides and markets providing pops of colour to the downtown. It is a symbol of Toronto's history dating back to the 1800's, while also representing the now as recreation for city dwellers and tourists.
The Robert Simpson Company, or Simpsons (Simpson's until 1972), was a Canadian department store chain, founded by Robert Simpson. The chain was eventually bought by the Hudson's Bay Company. The building in picture is the flagship store built in 1894 in Toronto, Ontario.
