Fern Canyon in the California Redwoods | Bucket List! This is approximately 4.5 hours from Monterey up Hwy One, and a "can't miss" for me! | Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park | Orick #HyattRegencyMakesMeSmile

{fern canyon} Lower Oneonta falls in the Columbia River Gorge. About 1.5 hrs out of Portland. Lower Oneonta Gorge is not accessible by trail. Rather you must walk up the creek bed, over a large and perhaps unstable log jam, through the gorge, and up to your waist (or even torso depending on your height and the time of year) in water until you finally see your prize.
