Hang the keys on your tree until Christmas Eve.. that night, let the kids leave the key on the outside of your door for Santa to come in! this idea is so nice for homes with kids who do not have a chimney.
At our house, a little Elf comes jingling by with a special delivery on Christmas Eve. We never catch him, but he always leaves a box of goodies like this on the front step! www.easyfreesantaletter.com and www.pajamaelves.com
Our Elf on the Shelf arrived with a note from Santa and an empty box for each child. They were instructed to fill their box with toys to donate to other children, so Santa would have room to leave new toys. Great Idea!!
Start your bedtime routine as usual, while one makes bags of popcorn and hot chocolate drinks and place them in the car, dont forget to have Christmas music playing too! When the kids climb into bed, they will find the ticket hidden. The kids are instructed to grab their slippers and head for the car. Upon entrance to The Minivan Express, we hole punch the ticket, and we travel around the city looking at all the beautiful lights. - I love this idea for the night before Christmas Eve
