To Kill A Mockingbird - the first book I read that gave me an exuberant appreciation for stories that do not end happily ever after

I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do.

I'm not against Kindles at all, but I suspect I'll always prefer paper books. Holding them, flipping the pages, smelling them, feeling the paper, everything.

I studied this classic in school, yet when people ask me for a good book to read, this one always pops into my head. You will not forget this one.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee - I know some high school english classes make you read this but, it really is a good read!

Neighbors bring food with death and flowers with sickness and little things in between. Boo was our neighbor.
