The average American child is spending over ten hours engaging with media every day. Which wouldn’t be such a bad thing, if media represented a diversity of values, cultures, people and ideas. At least then we would be exposed to a variety of thoughts and feelings from which we could pick and choose, evaluate and emulate. The problem though, is that popular media tends to feed of itself cyclically
