Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Oh man, this brings back such awesome memories of me and all my friends in elementary school sitting in the library during recess and lunch reading these stories to each other.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. I LOVED this book when I was a kid. LOL Never thought I'd see this again! Not really a "book worth reading, but..."

we had these books and we would look at them over and over and over!

Even as an adult, I can still remember the shocking art of Stephen Gammell. From the "Scary Stories" books I read as a kid. I just found out they republished the series after thirty years -- and they replaced all the illustrations. Nothing can replace these ever memorable images I grew up with.

Every novel is an answer to the ancient plea, "Tell us a story."

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful story

The Wayside School series by #LouisSachar was so great -- why don't they make books like these into movies? #90s #books

What can I possibly say about this book? It's one of the best stories and most well-written books ever. Bradbury, as always, relied heavily on his reader's information to fill in the gaps, and usually, I find that sloppy writing, but with this--with this story--it works; like a haunting nightmare hovering on the edge of your memory. Ah, great stories and fantastic writing make me swoon :D

I love that she is also wearing a black keys shirt!

I love this book. I remember Grandpa reading it to me when I was sick, scared and felt lost. My copy of this is a little worn, but I hope to pass it down to my grandchildren one day.

OMG! OMG! I made my mom buy me all of these when I was in 4th and 5th grade! I was such a morbid child lol

Heidi-always felt sorry for her in the part of the story where she has to go live in the city
