Every time I hear any of the songs from this film I want to watch it. I think that means it may be my favourite movie of all time. I love everything about it, I really do. But especially Bill Nighy and the amazing mod clothes and fabulous '60s music. A father heads overseas to recover the body of his estranged son who died while traveling the "El camino de Santiago," and decides to take the pilgrimage himself.
Last Night. 21/12/12 Interesting movie, very different to usual mainstream films, quite a slow-moving story but well acted and I found it fascinating to watch the simultaneous personal stories and how so many things in life are not black & white. Clever yet frustrating ending.
The movie focuses on an old man reading a story to an old woman in a nursing home. The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun, who meet one evening at a carnival. But they are separated by Allie's parents who disapprove of Noah's unwealthy family, and move Allie away. This is one of the most romantic all around sweet movies based on the Nicholas Sparks book.
