Sight Word Graphing - good idea, can adapt for more difficult words and get a newspaper article or a page from a book/story and have them go through and graph how many times the sight words occur from the article/story.

Zap It...a game I learned in grad school. Put high frequency words on sticks (these are foam sticks) and write zap it on a few sticks. The kids pull sticks from a container and read the words. If someone gets Zap It, all of the sticks go back in the bin. Great word work #daily5
Phonics Pin 2: This activity is Clothespin cards. Activity cards will have a letter with two pictures underneath. Students will have to recognize the letter and select the picture that starts with the same letter. Students will select their answer by pinning a clothespin on the picture.
