The Nomura jellyfish or giant jellyfish (Nomura nomurai) is a species of jellyfish of the class scyphozoa, found in the surrounding seas in Japan, in the waters between China, Korea and Japan. It is the longest and heavy in his class. Nomura jellyfish can reach 2 m and weigh up to 220 kg.

OMG! The Lion's Mane is usually found in Arctic waters and in the Pacific Ocean, but a lack of food has caused them to hunt in unfamiliar waters. Like most jellies, it is a predator - it kills and eats other living creatures from the "animal" kingdom.

Pelagia noctiluca, (Águilas, Spain) by Alfonso Gonzalez: In Latin, Pelagia means "of the sea", nocti stands for night and luca means light and As its name implies P. noctiluca has the ability to bioluminesce. Light is given off in the form of flashes when the medusa is stimulated by turbulence created by a ship’s motion or by waves. This flashing is only of relatively short duration and gradually fades. en.wikipedia.org/... #Jellyfish
