Vintage 40s Primitive Red Clay Pair of Doll Figurines Signed on Bottom Virginia Appalacian Art

A pair of adorable vintage 40's primitive red clay figurines. Both are signed indecipherably on the bottom (if you can make them out then I congratulate you). One is painted and the other is only glazed. The painted one has a small chip in the paint on the back of her skirt, as you can see from her picture. She appears to be holding a baby. The other is wearing a turban. Both were picked up by me at an estate sale in the Appalacian Mountaints in Virginia.
