Between 10 and 18 examples are included of each of the following Rules of Inference and Logical Fallacies: 1. Modus Ponens (Law of Detachment) 2. Affirming the Consequent (Converse Error) 3. Denying the Antecedent (Inverse Error) 4. Modus Tollens (Law of Contrapositive) 5. Double Negation 6. Syllogism (Transitive Property or Chain Rule) 7. Disjunctive Syllogism 8. Simplification Print the whole sheet and cut them out - have students sort them by form of reasoning (using the 8 above categories) and then provide the conclusions or write "no conclusion." *.xlsx file
