To support students' understanding of living vs. nonliving things, students will cut, sort, and glue pictures into their appropriate categories: living or nonliving. Items students will sort: Living: -Tomato Plant -Flower -Apple Tree -Pine Tree -Tree (in fall/winter-without leaves) -Ladybug -Chick -Child -Puppy -Octopus -Giraffe Nonliving: -Rock -Soil -Cloud -Water -Balloons -Computer -Car -Muffin Pictures are black and white so students can color the items after sorting.
