This batik bangle bracelet seems to be some kind of resin with a heavy duty lacquer finish--very smooth and even. The batik design is not hand painted; I am not sure of the process used. It looks like a piece of cloth or other material wrapped around the bracelet and then lacquered---silk screen?? in excellent condition measures just short of an inch in width and is just over a quarter of an inch in thickness.
