Columbia Global Centers | Middle East in Amman is one of the first in a network of Columbia Global Centers that Columbia University has launched around the world. The Center, headquartered in Amman, Jordan, provides a base for scholarly activities throughout the Middle East and advances the University's academic partnerships and programs in the region. Activities of the Center include a wide range of disciplines, from education to architecture to environmental sustainability.

Saadia Zahidi is Head of Constituents at the World Economic Forum, responsible for the engagement of Religious Leaders, NGOs, Labour Leaders,  Women Leaders and Gender Parity Groups into the Forum’s mission for  improving the state of the world by engaging leaders in multistakeholder  partnerships to shape global, regional and industry agendas. She also leads  the Forum’s research on gender and faith issues.
