Hooper, Company Commander L Company, 314th Inf.Regt., 79th Inf.Div. leads a column of German POW's with officers at its head guarded by his men up the Rue Louis Lansonneur, Cherbourg - Paris Road. They are heading south towards POW cages created in the Montagne du Roule area. 26-28th June 1944
Private Charles Leslie Harding McAdam, 39th Battalion. He served for 3 years as a senior cadet in the 48th Battalion and 2 years in the Citizens Military Forces before enlisting on 18 February 1916. Eyewitness accounts from his Australian Red Cross Wounded and Missing File state "He took part in the stunt on Oct 4th ...he was light in build with very pleasant features and a lovely disposition".
