We created this pin board to help people access voices of color without relying on interpersonal relationships. We hear from Vermonters all the time that they are isolated racially. Often this is coming from White people, wanting to be educated about racism by people of color through friendships. The strategy of white people building relationships with people of color to help them better understand racism is a very serious problem for a lot of reasons.

Missing Daddy by Mariame Kaba Author’s Note: I wrote this book out of frustration. In my anti-prison work, I’ve witnessed firsthand the ravages of incarceration and its impact(s) on our communities. Over the years, I’ve often been asked by caregivers, educators and organizers for resources to help children with an incarcerated loved one to cope with loss, grief and trauma. I’ve struggled to come up with good resources to share so I decided to create one myself.
