Vintage Barbie Doll & Friends

Ruth Handler and Mattel introduced Barbie in 1959 and created quite a sensation in the doll world! For Handler, Barbie was an alternative to her weekly shopping trips with her daughter, Barbara, for paper dolls. The rest, as they say, is history. This pinboard reflects Barbie from her debut in 1959 through the "Mod Era" of the 1970s.
