First time reading Christopher Moore and this subject matter caught my attention.  It is France and Impressionism which would be enough to get me at "hello" but thus far it has not captured my attention nor imagination.      Love the art references, the visuals of the paintings and the conversation surrounding them.  It is the story and pace thus far that has yet to pull me in.

In his new novel Sacre Bleu, Christopher Moore is at his strange, fantastic, witty and sarcastic best - bringing history alive through quirky characterizations, mystical mystery and hilarious dialogue.

From a mysterious tomb in Egypt in another time this book takes the reader to New York, Paris and China thus far, so don't forget your passport. A perfume mystery is underway and all parties lead to this precious scent.  But who will get there first and will there be foul play?  Stay tuned.
