Look at the set of his jaw. Looks like a stubborn, sad man.

The grave of Rosanne McCoy (Birth: 1859, Death: 1889). She lost her baby and died young after her ill-fated romance with Johnes Hatfield which sparked an escalation of a feud between the Hatfields & McCoys post Civil War American history. Legend has it that she died of a broken heart.

Nancy is a scum. She married Johnse after Roseanna had been heartbroken.

It's so cool to see these pics posted. My maiden name is Hatfield and am related to Devil Anse. Our family is descended from the ones who moved to northern PA.

    Crazy-crazy!

Ellison Hatfield in Civil War uniform. His brutal murder in 1882 ignited the famous Hatfield-McCoy Feud. The inscription at bottom of photo reads: "Ellison Hatfield Died Aug 1882 Father Age 33 years Gone but not forgotten."
