Classroom management. This is actually a really cool idea. It would really help during study hall attendance when 6 kids came to you with a note to go to another class! I can coordinate the numbers with my cell phone storage numbers too.

Work boxes: Have one for each student. When they finish their work they can go to their work box and pull out things to work on that the teacher has placed in there. Lets the teacher assign different things for the student/if they need extra practice in an area--DIFFERENTIATION!

One of the teachers I work with suggested this idea at our first faculty meeting this year and I thought it was so smart! When kids are pulled for speech, OT, reading groups, etc., they put the cup on their desk to say they are out of the room. It makes it easy to glance around the room and see who has been pulled. (great for subs)

For kids who are easily distracted or overwhelmed by amount of work.

Another pinner said: There is an envelope laminated for each assignment due. I started with ten. I can just write the activity on the envelope and the kids go there to turn it in. Then they check off their name on the back. So I know exactly who didn't turn it in. It also makes things so much easier to grade!
