Help Teacher, Good Ideas, Middle School, Student, Classroom Management, No Homework Binder, Homework Logs, Homework Folder, Kid
this seems likea good idea even for parents ...Students have to write in a log every time they do not turn in their homework on time and explain themselves. This helps teachers keep track of how many times the same student does not do his/her homework, makes students think about why they did not do their homework, and establishes accountability. Thinking I will do this next year.

Exit Ticket Template
Exit Slips. This a great closure activity/strategy to any lesson. Students can reflect on their learning. I normally have kids write their own statement, but i like the way these are structured. Copy the whole sheet for each student and let them cut apart. They can select the one they want to use in that given day.

Tried this once-1. couldn't believe how many copies I had to make. 2. Takes MUCHO organization. I do like the idea though. Student Reflection Form "No Homework" Binder. Help students become more responsible for their actions & makes them accountable for their missing work AND requires them to think about it-something which usually doesn't happen. If anything, it really helps me keep track of how often work is missing, which furthers my conversation with parents (at the high school level).
HMMMMM......I Really like this idea too....any teachers see this?? Student Reflection Form "No Homework" Binder. It's my personal/teacher mission to help students become more responsible for their actions. I like that this form makes them accountable for their missing work AND requires them to think about it-something which usually doesn't happen.

Thinking about trying this. I have so many kids who are absent! It's so hard to keep up with this!
