Belgian artist Wim Delvoye. Very cool and detailed tire art. http://www.wimdelvoye.be/tyres.php
Belgian artist Wim Delvoye created these unique sculptures by hand-carving elaborate floral and geometric patterns into used tires. Delvoye’s whimsical work merges the rugged with the rococo. For example, in his cement mixer, which might look right at home in Versailles. These pieces contrast sharply with his with his colorful, SimCity inspired website, which encourages visitors to wander among his many artistic pursuits.

The second carved animal skull on our skull blog. This intricately carved buffalo skull has been beautifully sculpted.
.Yeah, I don't know why, but if I ever had a cow skull on display I would want intricate bone carvings all over it.
Carved skull- inspiration is polymer clay- horns wrapped with natural string/jute!

Really like the ephemeral quality of this work. Mexican artist Gabriel Dawe created huge three-dimensional art installations using Gütermann thread. Carefully connecting different colors together, he weaves multiple threads onto wooden frames, he created a semi-transparent geometric rainbow. www.gabrieldawe.com.

This inspires me to do thread/yarn/etc hanging from a rod and attached to another rod for weight, that would be a free weight in the air... Then doing several and color themes... and then hanging them side by side instead of stacked. or only stacking 2 deep/layered. Bronze sculpture by UK artist Sukhi Barber. Sukhi Barber was born in Hertfordshire, England. From an early age she was drawn to the classical and ancient traditions of art and philosophy, which led her to undertake a traditional sculptural training at The City and Guilds of London Art School. There she gained a firm grasp of figurative clay modeling and life drawing, graduating in 1995 with the prize for sculpture, and a scholarship from Madame Tussauds

The Way to Happiness II by South Korean artist Kim Sun Hyuk. "...has created a new series entitled Drawn By Life, that depicts Hyuk's interpretation of the human root system. Sculpted from metal, each piece has an incredible structural layout and elegantly depicts the figure we are intended to see. All the forms are also hollowed out, looking as if the roots that were encasing the image has been removed. Notice the emotion these pieces carry given some of their limited use of lines."
