Jamal M. Holland, 19, was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 1300 block of North 27th Street at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2008. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. The motive for the crime appears to be drug-related robbery. Nathan Ratigan, 24, was shot in the 300 block of West Marshall Street on Oct. 7, 2012, at 12:52 a.m. Ratigan was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. Walter J. Boone, 77, was found deceased after the Richmond Fire Department extinguished a house fire in the 3200 block of Cofer Road on Dec. 8, 2012, at 7 a.m. The investigation ruled that the death was a homicide.
