Two heads are better than one, and in the case of Will Courtney and Bob Lohman, Making More Rooms For Love Campaign Co-Chairs, this is very true. Their collective intellect and knowledge of the Fort Worth community, combined with calm and steady leadership ensured a successful campaign, completing our fundraising goal of $8 million a year ahead of schedule. With 2 days to go in our #58DayCountdown, we honor Will and Bob who have hearts as big as the House. #LOVERMHFW
Every family that stays here is special, and every child’s journey is their own, but some families we get to know very well. That's the Olson family. Born in 2003, sweet Kyra battled cancer, & she was always incredibly brave. We cried with mom, dad & sister when we learned of her passing earlier this year, but she will forever be a part of us. We remember this precious life with 3 days to go in #58DayCountdown.
We love families no matter the type or size! Summer news from the Fort Worth Zoo brought this family of elephants to our #58DayCountdown with 3 days. With the birth of Bowie on 8/5, the FW Zoo celebrated the 3rd elephant born to them. 15 YO Bluebonnet was born 12/16/98 to Rasha, & Blubonnet is mom to Bowie. Rasha is also mom to Belle, born 7/7. Just as our families find strength in being together so do the 3 generations of elephants at the FW Zoo with the dedicated keepers who watch over them.
It has taken many hands to put together the House that Love Built. We were in good hands with the many people who poured the foundation, nailed the framework, hung the sheetrock, roofed the building, painted the walls, plumbed each room, wired each space – we are almost there! We are so very grateful for the many subcontractors who put a bit of themselves in this project. 4 days to go in the #58DayCountdown! #LOVERMHFW
