That's just all kinds of awesome from German artist Martin Klimas.

Photographer Martin Klimas dropped porcelain figurines and snapped pictures of them as they hit the ground, turning these static figures into dynamic martial arts fight scenes.
German photographer Martin Klimas destroys porcelain figurines to create these beautiful artistic shots.
Behold the explosive work of German photographer Martin Klimas who has created this series entitled, 'Porcelain Figurines'. These images were captured just as each of the figures hit the ground after being dropped from a height of 3 meters. Klimas was able to take the photos by setting his camera to respond to the sound of the porcelain hitting the ground - triggering the shutter release.
Martin Klimas Artist Martin Klimas drops porcelain figures. He photographs them as they shatter, the camera rigged to shoot by the sound of the impact. The figures are martial arts-y in nature (NOT Precious Moment-y) and the exploding only lends itself to the appearance of combat.

Exploding Martial Arts Porcelain Figures Porcelain martial arts characters dropped from three meters high and photographed when they hit the ground. Almost seems like the Matrix huh? Photography by Martin Klimas.
crashing porcelain action figures by martin klimas. german photographer martin klimas created the series 'porcelain figurines'. the collection of images were captured just as each of the fragile objects hit the ground after being dropped from a height of 9.8 feet. the artist was able to take the photos by wiring his camera in such a way that the sound each figurine made as they touch the ground tripped the device's shutter release.

Normally I loathe pet photography (I have enough trouble trying to get kids to sit down and smile) but these pieces are just brilliant (though some look a little bit menacing).
