This is one of The Hungry Pilgrim’s favorite recipes from A Taste of Heaven: A Guide to Food and Drink Made by Monks and Nuns. What makes this shrimp dish different is the addition of Chartreuse, a liqueur made by the monks of La Grande Chartreuse monastery in France. The Hungry Pilgrim visited the Chartreuse tasting room and cellars in Voiron and while this liqueur is delightful, don’t drink and drive. It will knock your socks off! This dish goes great with a side of simple white rice.
