This "types of sentences" chart would be great for a middle school language arts class. The class would be broken up into four groups and each group would be assigned a type of sentence. Then, each student would be given a post-it note on which they would write an example of their assigned type of sentence. I think it could also be made into a race!

Each team gets 4 different colored post-it notes. Color corresponds to which type of sentence. Team come up with unique examples of each type of sentence. Can use this for figurative language as well.
