If I have enough wool, I may also make a second jacket, so it will be a mix-and-match men's wardrobe. This suit will also need appropriate shirt, tie, and socks. Project - 18th c. Green Velvet Suit / Planning board for 18th century man's suit made of celery green cotton velvet. It's intended for day wear, not a court suit, so trying to keep the decoration simple. Perhaps some silver thread embroidery and spangles, nothing elaborate. Not going to add color to this one, just the green and silver. I'm planning that the majority of the suit will be sewn by hand. It will be worn with the silk satin waistcoat I embroidered to go with the blue silk court suit. It may be worn with a plain shirt instead of the lace-trimmed one. Target completion date: Costume College 2012.

Project - 1890's Evening gown / My wedding dress was ballet pink silk satin, with an 1890's trained skirt for the bottom and a lace-covered satin bustier for the top. Underneath, I wore a trained Victorian petticoat. The plan was that the skirt and petticoat would be worn again, with the addition of a period-appropriate evening gown bodice. I'd like to add embellishment to the skirt, possibly with spangles, silver threads, and pearls. For the bodice, I have some matching silk chiffon, and may pick up some silk or cotton English netting if the design calls for it. Target completion date: 2012 Costume College.
