French artist Mathilde Roussel created the pieces that would make up Lifes of Grass, to examined the "effects of transformation of the material as a metaphor of the transformation of the body. Time sculpts the forms, makes them change and then decay." The work went on display around the world, including the 2010 Crossing the Line FIAF Festival at Invisible Dog Gallery, Brooklyn.
