Alaïa was honored with a solo exhibition at the Groninger Museum in the Netherlands in 1998, which debuted at the #GuggenheimMuseum in New York in 2000 curated by #MarkWilson and #JimCook. His clothes are available in #BarneysNewYork alongside #Lanvin, #Balenciaga, and #DolceGabbana, and his shoes are sold at #BergdorfGoodman

#MaryKatrantzou (born in 1983) is a Greek fashion designer who currently lives and works in London. Whilst collaborating with #SophiaKokosalaki in 2006, she managed to build up a portfolio for the #CentralSaintMartins Master Fashion Textiles course. She was nominated for the #Harrods and the #LOreal Professional Award. Her first Prêt-à-porter collection was shown at the FW London Fashion Week in 2008.

#ElieSaab (Arabic: إيلي صعب) (born July 4, 1964), sometimes known simply as 'ES', is a Lebanese fashion designer. In 1982, Saab launched his Beirut-based fashion label when he was 18 years old. His main workshop is in Lebanon. He also has workshops in Milan and Paris. Born to Maronite Catholic parents in Beirut, Saab is self-trained. He started sewing as a child and knew that one day he would make a living out of it. In 1981 he moved to Paris to study fashion, but ended up returning to Beirut.

#LWrenScott L'Wren Scott (born Luann Bambrough on Jan 1, 1967) is an American fashion designer, costume designer, stylist and model known primarily for her long-term relationship with singer #MickJagger... At the suggestion of photographer #BruceWeber who spotted her at a #CalvinKlein photo shoot, she left Utah aged 18 for Paris to pursue a career as a model. #RobertoCavalli (born Nov 15, 1940) is an Italian fashion designer from Florence. He is known for detailed exotic prints and for creating the sand-blasted look for jeans which are now a standard style for the majority of jean makers. In the early 1970s, he invented and patented a revolutionary printing procedure on leather, and he started creating patchworks of different materials. He debuted these techniques in Paris, immediately getting commissions from the likes of #Hermes and #PierreCardin.

He and his eponymous company are synonymous with geometric prints in a kaleidoscope of colors. Emilio Pucci was born in 1914 of one of Florence’s oldest noble families, and would live and work in the Pucci Palace in Florence for much of his life. He was a keen sportsman, who swam, skied, fenced, played tennis and raced cars...

#StellaNinaMcCartney (born 13 September 1971) is an English fashion designer. She is the daughter of former Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney. #StellaMcCartney became interested in designing clothes as a youth. At age thirteen, she made her first jacket. She interned for #ChristianLacroix, working on his first fashion design collection, honing her skills working for #EdwardSexton for a number of years. In 1997, she was appointed the Creative Director of #Chloe in Paris.

He is perhaps the most notable of students of Cordwainers Technical College in Hackney, England, from which he graduated in 1983.

#SalvatoreFerragamo (June 5, 1898 – August 7, 1960) was an Italian shoe designer, the eleventh of 14 children. After making his first pair of shoes at age nine, for his sisters to wear at their confirmation, Salvatore decided he had found his calling. After studying shoemaking in Naples for a year, Ferragamo opened a small store based in his parent's home. In 1914 he emigrated to Boston.His scientific and creative approach to shoes spawned many innovations such as the #WedgeHeel and #CageHeel.

#Balenciaga is a fashion house founded in 1914 by Cristóbal Balenciaga, who was born in the Basque Country, Spain. He had a reputation as a couturier of uncompromising standards and was referred to as "the master of us all" by #ChristianDior. Cristóbal Balenciaga opened his first boutique in San Sebastián, Spain in 1918, which expanded to include branches in Madrid and Barcelona. The Spanish Civil War forced him to close his stores, Balenciaga moved to Paris.

She founded Jenny Packham London – designing evening wear – and launched her first collection at the London Designer Show in 1988.
