Definitely NOT something I'd get (like, ever). This is a beautiful piece, though. Definite props to the tattoo artist, and to the guy who will have to explain this to his kids in 20 years... :)

Nice idea. The eye at the top is creepy, though. I really like the idea of combining Thor's Hammer with a Helm of Awe (that's an Aegishjalmir, not a Vegsvir, no matter what the original post says)...  This is my husband's tattoo on his upper back & neck: Mjölnir, the hammer of Thor, the God of Thunder, in Norse mythology; & Vegvísir is a Viking Compass, for direction and protection; eye tattoo typically means vision, intuition, and protection. @Kasey Walker
