This is beautiful! You totally need a blog so I can read everything you did and what plants you used. I love this! Can you come do it in my yard? :-)

This actually shows part of a second project as well. The large black tube running along the side of the bog filter carries rain water from a downspout to the pond. Some people say not to do this, but I've had no problems with my fish & frogs.

In case anyone wonders... the taller block on the right/rear wall wasn't intentional. I discovered a cement footing for the deck and had to build over it :(

Sallie, why do people say not to do that?

Nesting material to attract Goldfinches (cotton balls.) To the left is my old holder- a small sack that onions came in. To the right is my new & improved version which I made this morning. It's a garage sale find plant holder/hanger shaped like half of a birdcage. I fitted 1/4" hardware cloth inside to hold the cotton. Can't wait to see how the Goldfinches will like it!
