Ivory silk bengaline wedding gown, French, 1860. Open V-neck boned back lacing bodice with points, short sleeves with lace on net bell, trimmed with bands of satin ribbon & lined in muslin. Bustle skirt; wide train with applied hem band of Van Dyke points bound in satin. Satin bow at waist and below bustle; hem stiffened & trimmed with pleated voile & lace. Lined in glazed cotton.
