Up in the Air (En el aire)- 2009 "Ryan Bingham: [on getting through airport security] Never get behind old people. Their bodies are littered with hidden metal and they never seem to appreciate how little time they have left. Bingo, Asians. They pack light, travel efficiently, and they have a thing for slip on shoes. Gotta love 'em. Natalie Keener: That's racist. Ryan Bingham: I'm like my mother, I stereotype. It's faster."
"The stars will wheel forth from their daytime hiding places; and one of those lights, slightly brighter than the rest, will be my wingtip passing over." - Up in the Air

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, one of my favorite books of all time. Stay golden Ponyboy
S. E. Hinton, pioneer of the young adult literature genre. S.E. Hinton wrote classic coming of-age-stories that are read in schools throughout the country: The Outsiders, Tex, Rumblefish, and That Was Then, This is Now. I loved reading these books when I was in high school. My Mother, a native Oklahoman, my Army officer Father were stationed at Fort Sill (with us) twice, in his 22 year service. Knowing the area, first hand that Hinton wrote about, made the novels even more compelling.
The Outsiders, 1967 // by S.E. Hinton. "The Outsiders was a controversial book at the time of its publication and is still a frequently challenged book nowadays. This book has been banned from some schools and libraries because of the portrayal of gang violence, underage smoking and drinking, as well as strong language/slang and family disfunction. However, in many schools today, the book is part of the curriculum for middle school and/or high school" (from Wikipedia)
The Outsiders read it last year its a good book for teens

Remember This, Reading, Beds, Growing Up, Childhood Book, Favorite Book, Kids, Mercer Mayer, Children Book
Loved this weird kid creature! A list of childhood books that I wish I could read again!
I must get Mercer Mayer books for my future kids! I just LOVED reading these growing up!
I had tons of these Critters books, but I remember this one in particular. And I still didn't want to go to bed.
Vintage Children's Books: Any book by Mercer Mayer is absolutely wonderful. My favorite author when I was a kid was Mercer Mayer. His books were so wonderful. They were my prized possessions. I would sit and read them for hours, examining every square inch of the pictures looking for the spider or the mouse. I loved the stories and I loved the clawfoot tubs and the old house.. the spider webs, the colors....
My favorite book growing up as a kid, and yes I read it to my boys :)
Just Go to Bed by Mercer Mayer. That was me as a kid.

Margret Peterson Haddix
Worth Reading, Book Worth, Peterson Haddix, Shadows Children, Hidden, Children Series, Margaret Peterson, Book Series, Children Book
Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix A really great book. It's dystopian fiction but set on a farm which makes it much different than the usual city setting. The main governmental control is that each family is only allowed 2 children. Luke is a hidden 3rd child. This one is definitely worth reading.
"Among the Hidden" by Margaret Peterson Haddix - Luke is one of the shadow children, a third child forbidden by the Population Police. He's lived his entire life in hiding, and now, with a new housing development replacing the woods next to his family's farm, he is no longer even allowed to go outside. (Book One of the Shadow Children Series)
Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix. This is my favorite book series. I don't like reading but i can almost always read these. This is the book that got me to like reading more than I did. I started reading these books in 6th grade recommended by me teacher.
