New World Trade Center recognized as tallest building in US

One Trade Center in Lower Manhattan has been officially ruled the taller than the Willis Tower (Sears Tower) in Chicago. The NY building has six fewer floors, but it has a spire that is ruled to be part of its 1,776 foot height by the members of the Council on Tall Buildings. The Willis Tower is 1,451 feet high, but its antennas are not counted. There you go Chicago. Beat by a technicality.
