Yet another one by Leonardo Da Vinci :3 This one is known as the "Vitruvian Man." There are some notes accompanying the drawing, describing the proportions and features of male human anatomy.
14. BAROQUE ART grew during the 17th and 18th centuries. It is considered part of the Counter-Reformation, the movement which sought to reconfigure the Catholic Church as a response to the Protestant Reformation. Baroque art placed great emphasis on high detail and overly ornate decorations. It would develop into Rococo in the mid-18th century, which was even more richly decorated and gaudy. Contempt for such ornateness would eventually inspire Neoclassicism.
The Vitruvian Man is a world-renowned drawing created by Leonardo da Vinci circa 1487

~The Persistence of Memory~ Painted in 1931 by yet another Spanish artist, Salvador Dali's The Persistance of Memory is one of the most recognizable and individual pieces in art history. Depicting a dismal shoreline draped with melting clocks, it is thought that Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity inspired this bizarre piece.
Soon, I'll be seeing this in person! #SalvadorDali "Persistence of Memory" by surrealist painter Salvador Dali. ••••• The soft watches are an unconscious symbol of the relativity of space and time. Dali was incorporating an understanding of the world introduced by Albert Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity.
THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY SALVADOR DALI The Persistence of Memory (Spanish: La persistencia de la memoria; Catalan: La persistència de la memòria) is a 1931 painting by artist Salvador Dalí, and is one of his most recognizable works. The painting has been in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City since 1934.
Artist: Salvador Dali Median:Oil on canvas Date:1931 I chose Salvador Dali's The Persistence of Memory for one my pins because it is extremely unique. This painting is very interesting because its simple, bizarre, and draws the viewer in. Finally, I really enjoyed that Dali painted each individual clock differently.
9. The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dali This painting maybe the most famous painting by Salvador Dali, The Persistence of Memory was created in 1931 and is now displayed in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Salvador Dali introduced the melting pocket watches in this piece.

"Persistence of Memory" by Salvador Dali — Write an article about what this painting could mean. Do the melting clocks symbolize the relativity of space and time? Who knows!?
According to institutionalism the more people and the more important people are talking about your art, the better that art is. Paintings, such as the famous Persistence of memory by Salvador Dali did a good job of gaining popularity, otherwise it wouldn't be famous.
The Persistence of Memory Spanish Salvador Dali was one of the most known surrealist painters in the 20th century. Above is his most famous work of all, "The Persistence of Memory," also known as "Clocks." This painting fits well with his idea of his art being a "hand-painted dream photograph," while also using the concept of surrealism within the painting.

This is my favorite painting by Salvador Dali simply called The Elephants. Love the long legs on the elephants and the colors warm me.
The Elephants, 1948 Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) was a Surrealist artist from the region of Catalonia in Spain. Dalí is best known for his paintings, but he also experimented with photography, film and sculpture. The use of recurring motifs can be found throughout his oeuvre of work, including clocks, ants, elephants and eggs. He often combined these symbols to create new and more complex meanings for his artworks.

Did you know that Pablo Picasso was colorblind? He only found out about his inability to see colors few months before he died. He actually thought that the paintings he made during his blue period were yellow and the ones he made during his pink period were green. What day is it today again? April 1st. That's right. :) "The Blind Man's Meal" is part of the Met Museum's collection.

O’Keeffe, who had always been interested in ways to combine her love of music and art, was instantly attracted to the ideaof artist Stanton MacDonald-Wright and his theories of synchromism—a concept that color and sound are very similar phenomena. This can be seen in three paintings that she did in 1919: Georgia O’Keeffe: Blue and Green Music (1919)
Georgia O'Keeffe Blue and Green Music 1921, oil on canvas The At Institute of Chicago (23.0 in × 19.0 in) Each different line compliments the figure as a whole, and there are contrasting shapes which appear as a result. Mixed with cool colors, this painting comes to life.
Or maybe the walls could be painted in the style of Georgia O'Keeffe! Georgia O'Keeffe: American, 1887-1986, Blue and Green Music.
