I made this cake today for my daughter in law whom is due to have our 5th grandchild any day. I made a couple modifications and I must say.....it was absolutely delicious. A MUST TRY RECIPE! I added 2 cups of apples (recipe called for 1) and I also used a stick of butter (1/2 c and recipe called for 1/3 c). This recipe would also be amazing with 2/3 cup of chopped pecans added.
