I’ve always been a big reader, but I’ve never been a big bookmark user. I know it’s a bad idea, but I dog ear pages or stick some random item into the book to keep my place (think receipt, paper clip, etc.). I saw an idea on Instagram this week: crocheted bookmarks. Sounded like a win-win to me. Keep my place without ruining my book? Good plan. Write a new pattern for the blog? I’m always looking for fun ideas. These can be made in any color and embellished with bright colored buttons.
First of all, let me give a big thank you to all those who have been coming to the blog for the messy bun hat patterns. It’s been so fun to see so many people enjoying these free crochet patterns and sharing the pictures with me! If you’ve made one, feel free to join the Daisy Cottage Designs Facebook group and share your work! We’d love to see any of your recent crochet projects!
This large bow crochet pattern is the perfect adornment for the messy bun hat that has become ever so popular. If you haven’t seen it, be sure to check out my children’s messy bun hat pattern, too. It’s quick, easy, and oh-so-popular this winter. Using two strands of worsted weight yarn held together gives this bow a great chunky feel and helps it keep its shape. Attach it to a large alligator clip or sew it onto a project to take it up a notch.
This beautiful v stitch crochet blanket pattern is one of my favorites. Its bright, beachy colors are making me long for summer days. Though it has a gorgeous finished look, this crochet blanket is actually a quick and easy crochet pattern. Using the pattern below, you’ll have a gorgeous blanket in no time. The best news? There are two video tutorials to go along with this blanket. f you can’t make this blanket right now, save it for later!
