    Sight Word building with letter beads. Write the words on jumbo craft sticks, then provide kids with a letter bead box and pipe cleaners. Easy peasy.

    It’s super easy to make too! Just some popsicle sticks and plastic coins.  You can use stickers too – I like the coins because the kids can feel the edges.  I used a large “nut” container, and the popsicle sticks fit PERFECTLY inside – you can even put the lid on for storage!  Hot glue (or super glue!) the coins on to the sticks.  On a couple of the sticks write “Bankrupt. ”  Kids sit in a circle and pass the can around – when it is their turn, the child takes one and says the name of the coi...

    Fabulous in First: A Day in the Life: Photo Edition

    I printed out hundreds charts on white and BRIGHT colored paper and laminated both copies. (I have one set for every student) Then I cut the NEON paper into different shaped puzzle pieces. Students work to cover their entire 100's puzzles quickly and quietly. It's amazing how fast some of them can do this compared to how long it takes others!!
